Just Another Day

City days grow shorter, winter thinks that its approach, obscured by the leaves of fall, will enter unnoticed.

-Business booms-bankrupts,

Stocks soar—Crash

Water flakes fall from the sky, crystalline glistening ice castles sent to distract the eye from the storm clouds gathering,

-Politicians pontificate – fall

Power grows-fades

Winds erupt in a cacophony of moans and shrieks, umbrellas turned inside out, paper dancing and pirouetting end to end until out of site.

-Actors emerge-fade

Reality fades-grows

People hurrying down brilliantly shining streets, ice vapors hiding red cheeked nose tucked faces.

-The earth groans-settles

Clouds burdened-relieved

The sun decides to hug the earth with its warm, secure embrace

-Trees crystallized- thaw

Bird’s peek-sing

Spring gently walks across the ice melted lakes, announcing its coming with a fanfare of butterflies and whippets of pollen

-Buds fatten-burst

Sunshine dances-hides

It’s just another day…

  1. Oh, look at this quote:

"People hurrying down brilliantly shining streets, ice vapors hiding red cheeked nose tucked faces".

Wondering what made the author say it?

By reading that, I felt there standing, looking at the very people that the author described.
